Weight Converter: Simple, Fast, and Effective

How the conversion works

The tool converts your input to grams first, then derives every other unit from that base value: 1 kg = 1,000 g, 1 lb = 453.592 g, 1 oz = 28.3495 g. Selecting a "from" unit tells the calculator which of those factors to use going in; every output is then calculated from the grams figure.

Worked example

Enter 10 and select Pounds. The tool first converts to grams: 10 × 453.592 = 4,535.92 g. From there it derives: 4.54 kg, 4,535.92 g, 10.00 lb, and 160.00 oz (4,535.92 ÷ 28.3495).

The four factors at a glance

That last relationship — 16 oz per pound — is why the ounce result above (160.00) is exactly 16 times the pound result (10.00): both were derived from the same grams figure, so the ratio between them holds regardless of which unit you originally entered.
