Random Sequence Generator: Simple and Effective

How the character pool determines your odds

Each position in the output is picked independently from a fixed character set: 10 characters for "Numbers" (0-9), 26 for "Letters" or "Uppercase Letters", 36 for combined "Alphanumeric", 62 for "Alphanumeric with Uppercase", or whatever string you type into the custom field. Set length to 6 and type to Numbers, and there are 106 = 1,000,000 equally likely 6-digit outputs, e.g. 482910 or 017734 — same math as a 6-digit lottery draw or a one-time PIN.

This is Math.random(), not a cryptographic generator

Each character is chosen with JavaScript's built-in Math.random(), a fast pseudorandom source that is not seeded from cryptographic entropy. It's fine for sampling, test data, game tokens, or shuffling a practice list — it is not suitable for generating passwords, API keys, or anything security-sensitive, where a crypto.getRandomValues()-based generator is required instead.

Length limits and custom sets

The length field is capped between 1 and 1000 characters. Switching the type dropdown to "Custom Characters" reveals a text field — whatever you type there becomes the full pool for every position, so entering just "AB" with length 10 will only ever produce strings made of A's and B's, e.g. ABBABAABBA.

Copying results

The "Copy to Clipboard" button selects the output textarea and calls the browser's copy command directly — no server round-trip, so nothing you generate is transmitted anywhere.
